Please forgive me for writing in English, but I\'m doing this on behalf of a non-wired acquaintance. This individual has been contacted by a book publisher to translate a history book (600 pages) from Iberian Portuguese into English. What is a *realistic* rate for this project (per word/for the project)? I\'m aware that literary translation generally pay less than business/tech translations. It is assumed that the translation will take about a year, since this person is a professor and will not be able to devote full time to the job.

If you wish, answer in Portuguese, as I will forward your responses.

Muito obrigado,

Kevin
