Hello everyone,

Once I finish my Translation degree, I would like to focus my career on Audiovisual Translation, starting with an MA on Audiovisual Translation, as I really feel I need more training if I want to success in that field!

I have heard about the MA in Audiovisual Translation offered by the University of Roehampton. I searched the forum to check if anyone had studied there and found nothing, which leaves me a bit suspicious :/

Another option is the University of Guildford, in Surrey, but their course programme does not seem so complete to me.

Does anyone know anything about those two MAs, or about any other MAs on Audiovisual Translation in the UK? I would really appreciate some advice!

Cheers,

Anna

... but I had already checked their websites and got information about the course programmes. What I wanted to know is if anyone had already taken any of those two courses, just to have some opinions from the student point of view. It was actually my mistake, I didn't ask the right question, sorry

I guess it'll be quite complicated to get any opinions about them anyway, as apparently those MAs were created very recently

new Audiovisual Translation MA Mar 18, 2009

Hi Anna,

I realise this reply is somewhat after the event, but if you (or anyone else) is still looking for an MA in Audiovisual Translation, a new one is starting up here at City University London (where I work, I should add).

Details here: http://www.city.ac.uk/languages/courses/audiovisual_translation.html

All the best,
Spence.
