As some of you may already know, in 2007, an experimental mentoring program was released, giving members the chance to acquire experimental translation knowledge and mentors the opportunity to share their experience and find new partners for growing their translation teams. The program has been running since then on its own and on a small scale, with several mentor-apprentice pairs successfully working together. Now, it is time for the mentoring program to take a step further and provide a solid framework for the process of connecting, sharing and expanding.
Members entering the program as apprentices will enjoy the following benefits:
The possibility to acquire practical translation and business experience.
The opportunity to receive WWA feedback from mentors (as well as project feedback in the Project history section of their profiles).
The chance to add mentors as referrals.
Participation in this program is open to members, with members of the Certified PRO Network fulfilling the role of mentor.
If you are a ProZ.com member and you would like to enter the ProZ.com mentoring program as an apprentice, just check the record of active Certified PRO mentors and contact them. Once you agree to work together, register your pairing to site staff by submitting a support request. If you are not yet a member, join!
If you are a member of the Certified PRO Network and you are interested in entering the program as a mentor, make an exchange post offering your mentoring services here. Also, if you would like your name to show in the list of active Certified PRO mentors, just submit a support request.
Fore more information on the ProZ.com mentoring program, please check the FAQs section.
Happy networking!
Kind regards,
Lucía

Hi, Lucia,
I checked with the pros' list, there are no mentors with EN-RU, FR-RU pairs. Are you going to expand the mentors' list? I'd like to enlist as an apprentice with these pairs.

Please note that Oleg Rudavin, http://www.proz.com/profile/14914 , is a mentor in English to Russian. However, no French to Russian member of the Certified PRO Network has volunteered yet.
I suggest you try posting a mentor request in the exchange section, http://www.proz.com/?sp=exchange , to see if this encourages French to Russian members to volunteer.
Kind regards,
Lucía
