Hi folks,

I got this with my tranfree newsletter (http://www.translatortips.com) and I thought I\'d share it.

Greetings and many creative ideas to all of you!!

Patricia

Here it is:

Contributed by Kathleen A. Bucher

A new young monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to help

the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church

by hand. He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying

from copies, not the original manuscripts. So, the new monk goes

to the abbot to ask him about this. He points out that if there

were an error in the first copy from the original, that error

would be continued in all of the subsequent copies.

The head monk says, \"We have been copying from the copies for

centuries, but you make a good point, my son.\" So, he goes down

into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the original

manuscript is held in a locked vault that hasn\'t been opened for

centuries.

Hours go by and nobody sees the old abbot. So, the young monk

gets worried and goes downstairs to look for him. He sees him

banging his head against the wall. He\'s all bloody and crying

uncontrollably. The young monk asks the old abbot, \"What\'s wrong,

father?\"

With a choking voice, the old abbot replies,

\"The word is \'celebrate\'.\"

If they have known the word... May 22, 2002

Good joke! If they had known the word probably it wouldn`t be the crisis in Catholic church today because of the revelation of one priest in USA.

Mommy mouse is leading her three young ones through the field. Suddenly, the birds stop chirping and everything becomes very quiet. Mommy looks around, sees the shadow of a cat just ahead.....

Mommy rears her head back and lets loose with a very loud, \"ARF, ARF, ARF!\"

Hearing this, the cat scurries away from what it fears is a large dog.

Mommy turns to the young ones and says, \"See, it is always good to know a foreign language.\"
