I\'m sorry is this question insults someone, because I also get mad sometimes when I hear: \"Ukraine? Where is that?\".
The problem is that I got a small archery manual to be translated, but I can\'t identify what language it is in.
The title is \"Jousiampujan Opas\" and it was published somewhere in Toijala (name of the city, I suppose). The text contains lots of \'umlauts\' and double letters but it\'s not like any language I\'ve seen before.
Can anyone please tell me what language is it or where is Toijala???
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Oleg!
Toijala is in Finland and the language you are talking about is probably Finnish:

You can try the site above. There are also other language identifier sites out there (do a search), where you type in the text and it would give you some hypotheses.
My guess is that your language is somewhere near the South-east Asian arena. The /-jan/ ending of the first word sounds Malay. | | | |

Many thanks to everyone. It is surely Finnish.
(I was thinking of Northern European languages initially, but unfortunately, I know none).
I\'ll be glad to return a favor, should the need arise.
All the best,
Oleg

I can only wonder how you can translate the manual if you can\'t even recognize the language...? :-0
Yes, Toijala is a small town (8200 inhabitants) in central Finland. See http://www.toijala.fi/
The Finnish language has got a lot of \'a\' and \'o\' umlauts as well as double consonants and vowels.
jousiampuja = archer
opas = manual/guide
Jousiampujan opas = Archer\'s Manual
Hope this helps
Minna
