I had the same problem. I paid by credit card online on Jan. 2, the payment was immediately confirmed and debited from my bank account but I was still not platinum on Jan. 3rd, so I sent an e-mail to ProZ and received an immediate reply and the upgrade was in effect on Jan. 4 when I checked my profile.
