How come my forum posts don\'t appear immediately?

I have now made several postings in different forums - and to my dismay after putting in sometimes a lot of time and effort composing an answer - they are nowhere to be seen!

One in particular, I made a posting to the \"Translation rates falling - why?\" forum a week ago and my post still isn\'t up.

I understand that all postings are checked first by a moderator, and if this is where my posts are held up, then maybe we should get a moderator with more time to devote to reviewing the posts!

Never had that problem... Nov 2, 2001

Whenever I have posted something here, my postings always show up immediately afterwards. I don\'t understand why yours aren\'t... And how could a moderator possibly have time to check my posting when it shows up right away? They must be screening afterwards...

It must be one of those bugs..

Good luck!

Paying member postings appear immediately, others are delayed. Nov 6, 2001

When you post, Laura, you will notice a note that says there will be a delay before your postings are visible.

Nina, you have not seen such a note because you are a paying member, and paying members\' posts appear immediately.

Vetting was implemented due to inappropriate postings sent from anonymous profiles. As paying members are not anonymous, they have direct access.

By the way, it usually takes less that a day for postings to be OK-ed.
