I wanted to check my rankings in my pairs.
Usually for the pairs French/German > English I stand first for India.
This time I get irrelevant results that have no bearing with the country of
residence. Whereas I chose India, the result shows some other country.
As for the pair English > Tamil I am first all over the world. But I am
shocked to see that I am credited with 0 kudoz points, which is just not
true.
This is a serious affair as many potential outsourcers contact me after consulting the above lists after specifying the language pairs, country of residence etc.
I have sent a support request.
My fellow-prozians are requested to check their own rankings.

I just checked German to English, India - you're still first and I'm fourth

You are right. Now things are back to normal. Perhaps it was due to a temporary bug. But the feelings were quite unpleasant and I felt as if I was in a very bad dream.

Hi Narasimhan,
As in most cases where bugs are suspected, use the support ticket system.
It is faster and your problem has a greater chance to be noticed.

But Sir, you can see from my initial posting that I have already sent support ticket and then only posted this forum topic.
By the way the Proz site staff have since then removed the bug. My sincere thanks to them.

It has happened to me too. Yesterday, I checked and I had 4170 points in total. Today, I got 2 messages of "Congratulations, your KudoZ answer was chosen as most helpful", obtaining 4 points for each question. I checked then with the "Update you Kudoz points" option, but nothing happend. It hasn't updated my new points. I will send a ticket to a moderator. If we don't watch out, our points will diminish, and eventually disappear.

Thanks for reporting this.
There was a temporary site error that caused the amount of KudoZ to display improperly. This has been fixed and no data was lost or corrupted.
If after checking your KudoZ points you still think they are not correct, please submit a support request http://www.proz.com/support and a member of the site staff will look into it.
