Unable to receive emails using MS Outlook

I'm having some troubles with downloading my emails from hosting domain using MS Outlook. I can send emails but I'm unable to receive them.

But let's start from the beginning. I configured Outlook to receive emails about 2 months ago by following My hosting howtos hints. Everything worked perfectly. For 2 months I've regularly received emails through Outlook. But yesterday, being temporarily unable to connect to the Internet from my notebook, I sent an email from Horde using another PC. And the first strange thing happened: the 'from' address displayed was not that I set when I started to use Horde but the main address (I use to get the address I use rerouted to the main account). So I changed the default 'from' address (from Options>Personal Information). When I became able to connect to the Internet from my notebook, I found out I was no more able to receive my emails through Outlook. If I try the "Test account settings" option from the "Mail account" window (Tools>Mail account), I notice that Outlook is able to find both outgoing and incoming mail servers, but it cannot log onto incoming mail server. If I try the Send/Receive option, I get the "cannot get file lock on /home2/USERNAME/mail/.cppop.cache.msgs: Bad file descriptor at bin/cppop.pl line 1437" error message.

I'd like to point out that the settings in Outlook are the same as before; so why it's not working any more?

Is there anyone understanding the matter?

I hope I've made myself enough clear, as the situation is not so clear for me...

Hi Sara,

I had similar issues with my proz.com-hosted email yesterday. I submitted a support request and it was solved quite timely. It looks like they've been having some problems with the email servers. Shoot them an email and you should have a response soon.

Hi Justin,

For the past couple of weeks I've been made aware that some emails sent to my acocunts have been bouncing. Some had .doc attachments and some even plain text messages with no attachments.
Would this have anything to do with Sara's problem, with ProZ servers or something with my account in particular?

Shall I submit a support request?
