Hi Paola,
I fail to see how the issue that "many quality agencies would stop outsourcing through Proz" emerges from the thread. Unless I am missing something, only two outsourcers posted as such in the last pages of the thread, and only one of them stated that he has "practically given up outsourcing through ProZ.com".

Hi Enrique,
I made an assumption based on the fora and private contacts,
and I would simply like to know more. I guess it is legitimate.
Maybe I am 100% wrong. I am just curious to understand the current trends.
Shall I ask in a poll?
Cheers,

Why doesn't this topic appear in the recent posts lists (AKA the main forum page)?
And yes, I think it would be interesting to hear what outsourcers have to say about this. | | | |

Hi Andreas,

Hi Paola and all,
As I indicated in the 'predecessor' thread, I have practically given up outsourcing via ProZ.com. That said, IIRC the number of public jobs I posted over the years was below ten - I mainly used to contact people directly through their profiles.
When Connect was launched, it was a great tool allowing smaller, specialist LSPs (such as my business) to differentiate themselves by taking out a company membership and having access to Connect - which at the time was introduced as a platform for 'premium' jobs. For my business, this was a channel through which I could attract top-quality linguists.
Nowadays, Connect is open to anyone - looking at the 'offers' I receive through my profile (unrealistic projects, ridiculous prices, missing contact details, to name the most obvious shortcomings), I simply do not wish my business to be associated with that platform. This is sad, because I still like the functionality.
