A few choice tidbits: Invoicing Users are required to send invoices directly to **** for any projects initiated through clients located through the site and services provided by ****. When sending invoices freelancers have two choices. (A)They may choose 60 day payment terms where **** agrees to pay the invoice within 60 days or on the day the client pays the subsequent invoice sent by ****. However, payment by **** of the invoice from the freelancer may not be later than 60 days from the date of receipt of invoice. (B) The freelancer can choose to be paid within 3 working days. In this case **** will deduct a fee ranging from 3-7% of the invoiced amount and the payment will be made to the freelancer within 3 working days. Failure to invoice through **** may result in immediate suspension of User's account. Clients are only obligated to pay invoices for services purchased as a result of sourcing a freelancer through ***. Invoices that do not come through ****, for services performed as a result of a project sourced through ****, should be considered invalid by the Client. Circumvention of **** You agree not to engage in any action or activities meant to circumvent the relationship between **** and the client. Prohibited activities include (but are not limited to) the following: Services offered directly to the Client and not through ****; Any agreement between Client and freelancer to mislead or defraud **** by conducting a transaction at different cost than the price agreed upon through ****; Failing to report changed amounts or final project prices through the **** invoice system; Advertising, spamming or offering services to Client outside of **** without receiving request for contact from Client. Suggesting/soliciting Client contact you directly to buy services outside of **** Any agreement (whether stated or implied) between Client and Freelancer to conduct future transactions outside of ****. Clients and Freelancers who make initial contact through **** are required to conduct any resulting, follow-up or new transactions through **** for at least twenty-four (24) months from the date that the first project is awarded by the Client to the freelancer. This includes invoicing the service-related fees through ***. [Edited at 2004-10-20 23:23]
