...And for this interesting fact for us, translators. Somehow we, Armenians, are so used to the huge amount of translated and translation-related literature in our Matenadaran and other research facilities, in Venice\'s and Vienn\'a Mechitarists libraries, that IMHO we all are a little bit free-lancers from the day we got our birth... ))

For those who do not know the first translaton of Bible in the smallest format ever possible, handwritten and pictured is in Armenian and is kept in Yerevan Matenadaran (Manusript storage).

I just tried to explain the basics of that way of thinking...
Thank you very much for your info about the Armenian church in Amsterdam, (1714).
And I\'m happy to hear, that there are Armenian studies in the University. It means, that the translated works of ancient scholars, which I mentioned in my previous posts will be available for the challenging youth in other countries too.
Thank you once again and good luck!

This is reponse to your third para, quoted "I realise that this has probably been done on the basis that questions are hardly ever asked about Cree, Mizo or Klingon. But Georgian? Azerbaijani? )
In what sence, u r using the word "MIZO"? i mean i am also belong to "Mizo tribe" from the far north eastern part India, where things (people, culture, religion, traditions)was entirely different from the mainland India.
In a local term 'MIZO' means "HILL MAN" or higlander after geographical condition. | | | | Endre Both Germany Local time: 04:13

I'd suggest to offer the option to enter other languages manually only after clicking on a "more languages" link, because otherwise some people would enter even "English", but misspelled. |

This strikes me as the perfect solution. In fact, I would even like to see some of the languages currently on the list moved to the "More languages" link. This way, you could get to Spanish without iterating through Sanskrit, Shona etc.
I'd love to see this implemented.

Correction: the Kudoz language list does not contain "Sanskrit, Shona etc.", nor does it contain many languages (if any) that could be removed and relegated to a "More languages" link.
Sorry,

These 'minor languages' have sometimes more than 10 millions speakers...
I think the solution is:
- the current list of 'major languagues'
After clicking on the 'More languages':
- a bigger list of 'minor languages'
and
- a text box to enter the language name
Another solution is to customize the pairs and store them on the computer users. They will be reloaded each the user comes back. People often use the same languages pairs...
It is true that some translators offer languages pairs that are NOT even in the proposed language lists...
