Dear colleagues,

For languages, it is possible to distinguish between "working" and "interest". As Henry recenly pointed out on another forum, this is to enable us to get KudoZ notifications.

Would it be possible to do the same for expertise? There has already been a lot of discussion about translators who have all options for expertise enabled. I am one of those translators, because I want to receive KudoZ notifications for all those options. This is because I have specialised in translations that would all be listed as "Other", but before that I've translated, for example, IT related texts and maybe some day, I will be able to help someone out with something I learned then. Also, some (not all!) questions that are posted as "medical" or "legal" may well be answered by "Other" translators, just as "Other" texts can contain some medical or legal terms.

What do you think?

Thanks!
