Feature Suggestion: My Activities/Others' Activities

Hello everybody,

Time and again, I can't help thinking about 2 features I'd like to see in otherwise excellent ProZ/KudoZ:

  1. My Activities — browse a chronological list of my activities on ProZ (ask/answer question, answer comment, discussion posts, forum posts, profile updates, etc.) as in the Facebook's Wall

  2. Others' Activities — something akin to Follow A Friend — e.g. http://help.github.com/be-social/ — this is in part provided by Kudoz answerer tracking but would be augmented with ability to subscribe to others' actions (subject to their consent) possibly by categories, possibly with email notifications.

By and large, this is what Twitter and Facebook are for, but I feel that, paraphrasing some good Frenchman, social networking for translators is too important a matter to be left to social nets.

What do you think? Any feedback will be appreciated, in fact.

Chronological (or rather: reverse chronological) would be nice, also for oneself, if you're looking for an answer or forum post that you know you created but can't find it using the Find feature. It should be possible to limit access to this list to yourself, to trusted colleagues (e.g. all members of a team), to all members, to all users, and to the public.

Others' Activities — something akin to Follow A Friend — e.g. http://help.github.com/be-social/ — this is in part provided by Kudoz answerer tracking but would be augmented with ability to subscribe to others' actions (subject to their consent) possibly by categories, possibly with email notifications.

Yes, I can see that this might be useful too, particularly if you want to learn from certain specific more experienced translators. They can become your gurus that you follow.
