Erase items from 'call for articles' section in knowledgebase?

I was all prepared to write a piece on Translation Office 3000, having seen the call for articles section and noted that there (apparently) was a need for an article on 'how to integrate it into your working life'.

However, when browsing the articles, I see that someone has written an article about it already, and yet the item in 'call for articles' remains. Could this be remedied?
