Recently several very interesting forum discussions, with excellent suggestions that urged to be answered, broke off all of a sudden.

Why? Because they had disappeared from the ProZ.com starting page, and (almost) nobody wants to take the trouble to rummage in all the various forum folders to see if an interesting topic has come up somewhere.

Couldn\'t there be a \"See more\" button in the homepage Forum box, like in the Job box?

A good idea indeed, a \'See more\' button.

Perfect suggestion ! Jan 23, 2003

I experienced that too often: I saw an interesting topic that I wanted to view after looking for some KudoZ questions. - But just minutes later the topic disappeared from the list - and the chances of finding it again were at zero, because I wasn\'t able to remember the category it was posted under.

So that \"see more\" button is a great idea.

An additional idea Jan 23, 2003

How about setting a time limit and a threshold of postings to determine which discussions would shown for a longer period of time:

Say, any discussion that gathered 5 posts within the first 24 hours would stay on as long as it can generate 5 additional posts in subsequent 24-hour periods. When the discussion generates less than 5 posts in two consecutive 24-hour periods, it would be accessible only from the \"See more discussion\" table.

How about this?

Full support! Jan 23, 2003

Actually, there is a \"See more discussions\" link in place already, unfortunately it leads to the main forum page.

You can now view up to a 100 of the newest posts. The botom of the index page has a link called \'View More Recent Posts\' which takes you to all the recent posts from all forums (this also takes your chosen language in consideration).

You can also access this page by going to:

http://www.proz.com/?sp=bb/viewrecent

Enjoy.
