It's a DNS issue

by another user whose connection has been intermittently on and off all day today.
She reports it is happening with both FF and IE, and in her case, simply reports that the ProZ.com server cannot be contacted.
Same here with the DNS provided by my ISP (free.fr).
As my browsers refuse to connect (I know that is has nothing to do with browsers, but it's rather linked to the server) and as I was getting more and more irritated,
I had the idea to go to Google and type in the search box :
"Proz no access France march 2011".
The title of this thread appeared immediately in 3rd position, and then I can write to you
Please note that the refreshing method does not work for me.
I even entered an "alert to Proz staff" on the LinkedIn ProZ.com forum.
Apparently, nobody is listening to us
EDIT : Sorry, I could not see Alejandro's last message when I wrote this post.
So, yes, somebody has heard us. Alleluïa
Thank you for your efforts to fix this problem
Catherine
PS : I do confirm : my tip does work! Because one minute ago, while clicking on the back button, my brother (FF this time) displayed again "cannot find this site". So I went back to the Google page where I entered the request described above, clicked on the link, and you can see me back

Or one can browse with a proxy. For instance, http://www.free-proxy.fr/ will give a large list of them.
Didier
Thank you Didier, this was it exactly, my ISP is also free.fr. Thanks for the tip.

I have the same problem
Mar 26
I don't think it has to do with the browser, it happens to me with FF and Chrome. It says "Server not found", then I have to go to "Try again" for a couple of times before I reach the home page of the site. It does not happen all the time, though.
Another thing is that I cannot see my photo displayed at some places. I submitted a support question. Strangely enough, they see it everywhere properly displayed:-)

Firefox OK here
Mar 26
I am currently using Firefox 3.6 on one machine and 9.0.1 on another.
I have not experienced any specific display problems, other than that using the Firefox zoom feature sometimes produces unpredictable results; but pressing Ctrl + 0 (zero) restores FF to the normal zoom setting.
I do occasionally find certain things don't work, but always assume this is just some temporary glitch, and the malfunctioning feature usually seems to come back of its own accord next time I try.
