Now I'll explain myself.
I only translate texts from English and Spanish into Italian, but I'd like to be e-mailed kudoz questions from Italian into English/Spanish, since I might be of help to other non-Italian colleagues understand the Italian correctly.
But I don't want that the "into English/Spanish" language pairs are shown in my probile.
I set Kudoz e-mail preferences in a way I thought that these language pairs would not be displayed, but it seems they are displayed in grey (interest).
I hope I was clear.
Now, can you let me know?
1. Whether you, as visitors, see these language pairs displayed.
2. If so, how I can receive Kudoz questions in without having these language pairs displayed in my profile.
Thank you very much
Pamela

Only visible to yourself Apr 12, 2004

Hi Pamela,
Now, can you let me know?
1. Whether you, as visitors, see these language pairs displayed.

No - these are visible only to yourself.

(Note to ProZ.com staff: "invisible" pairs should not be shown in the "visitor's view".)

HTH, Ralf

That's what I meant Apr 12, 2004

Thanks Ralf
Actually, when I switch to visitor's view I see that these language pairs are in light grey with (interest) on top of them.

What does it mean?
If I'm a visitor, I should not see it.

Correct?
Pam

Still only visible to yourself... Apr 12, 2004

...I cannot see them when I look at your profile.

Actually, when I switch to visitor's view I see that these language pairs are in light grey with (interest) on top of them.

Yes, but I can't.

What does it mean?
If I'm a visitor, I should not see it.

It means that there's a minor bug in the visitor's view - hence my note to ProZ.com staff.

Once again - others don't see them.

HTH, Ralf

Thanks Ralf! Apr 13, 2004

It's good to know what others see!

I was asking myself the same questions.

Hidden languages no longer shown to owner in "visitors view" Apr 13, 2004

The "visitor's view" of your profile page should be more accurate in general now. And specifically, you should no longer see your hidden languages in the visitor's view of your own profile. Thanks for pointing out this oversight.

Regards,

Jason
