I have been a ProZ.com Platinum member for about 18 months, and this is the first occasion when I want to use this facility. I have searched the site over and over again and have been unable to find this facility.

I'm probably missing something very straightforward somewhere, but I'd be grateful if somebody could point me in the right direction for this facility.

Many thanks.

Rules for Sending Messages via Profiles Nov 29, 2004

The 100 Messages option is only accessible via the "freelancers" search function, and only if you select a source and a target language for your search. Note that, along with the first page of the lists of translators, you will not only generate a "Group Mail" box allowing you to "compose," but, once you have clicked on "compose," you will find a link to the "Rules for Sending Messages via Profiles" along with the message box. Please note the content of those rules:

"Messages sent via profile messages may not include:
1. advertising of any product or service, including your services.
2. offensive or personal remarks

Failure to observe these regulations will result in the removal of your right to use profile messaging, or your removal from the site altogether, without regard to your membership status.

This feature is provided to allow members to receive messages without disclosing their email address, for outsourcers to contact translators and any other type of communication, but NOT FOR ADVERTISING.

Note that when you send an email via a profile page, your email address and IP address will be disclosed to the recipient."

Through the directory Nov 29, 2004

First go to the directory. Engage the filters to get a list of the ProZ members who meet the subject and language criteria you specify. (Now, if you want to filter this list further, you can do so by credentials, software, country and/or keywords.) Once you have the list of ProZ members that you want to send mail to, you will see a gold-coloured box with a green bar on top located at the upper right of the list of members. The text in the box reads "Group Mail
As a Platinum member, you may group mail to 100 pros at once.
Compose >". This is what you are looking for.
