on http://www.proz.com/topic/38121 2 co-ProZians say if they click on my links like http://www.proz.com/translator/20424, not mine but their own profile page shows up. Which link should I write? Thanks!

I tried http://www.proz.com/translator/20424, and your profile showed up. I am logged in as usual.

Problem is "/ " at end? Oct 22, 2005

Martin, I get different results depending on whether I click
http://www.proz.com/translator/20424
(no slash at end; your profile shows up)
and
http://www.proz.com/translator/20424/
("/" at end; my profile shows up).

Putting a slash at the end of any proz.com address seems to cause problems; for instance compare the URL of this posting:
http://www.proz.com/topic/38155
vs.
http://www.proz.com/topic/38155/

(second one links to an empty page)

Guess it's a feature, not a bug

To see what happens:

click on 1) http://www.proz.com/translator/20424

or click on 2) http://www.proz.com/translator/20424/

Perhaps Michelle is right. Let's try!

Regards,

Clarisa

I'm back: The first link sends me to Martin's site. The second one to mine!

Clarisa, clearly you are right. I wonder if it could be a frames issue? i.e. proz.com somehow parses URls with / at the end as a different directory? Very mysterious...
