Hello all,
I like the instant messages, because most of the time dear colleagues are sending me funny or friendly messages.
But right now I am getting a spam via instant message.
To whom can I report it?
I have the whole text and the Proz-profile.
By the way: it is a rather weird text written by a so called Princess.

Regards
Steffi

Emancipation in Nigeria makes progress ;-) Jul 1, 2006

(S)he contacted me via an other translator's site exactly one month ago.
Looks like a 2nd class Nigerian - I have seen better ones..

I will look into the problem as soon as possible Jul 1, 2006

Hello all!

It looks like the spammers may have found a different channel to bother our users. I will look into the problem as soon as possible, and post what I find here...

Thanks for your understanding, and your patience!

Best regards,
Justin

I want to ask... Jul 2, 2006

...is it normal that someone contacted me through my ProZ mail to sell me their services? They were services targeting translators. I found it odd to receive ProZ mail that was actually solicitation - and wasn't too happy...

Yeah, we've had that before, too. Twice, I think.

It's not allowed, but I didn't bother to report the sender. Just discarded it - "Hello I want to do translations for you" didn't really arouse our interest anyway.

Now we've disabled all incoming messages via ProZ.com. Our e-mail addresses are easy enough to find.
