I am no longer in the translators database!

I am nowhere to be found in the database and I have no idea for how long this has been going on...

Perhaps I'm not understanding what you mean by database, but under "Directories" I selected "Search by Name" and I typed "texjax" into the box, and up you came. I clicked on the name, and that took me to your web page here at ProZ... HTH!

Thank you for your 'visit', I wish I was there to offer you a cup of coffee at least...but that is not what I meant.
If you are an outsourcer looking for an EN>IT medical translator, I am no longer there. The same happens when you type any other specialties or working fields.

Hi texjax. A quick look suggests that something may be wrong, but it is not immediately apparent to me what it might be. I'll remove this and our support staff will answer your ticket.

I hadn't checked for a while but your situation, Texjax, made me take a look.

I don't seem to be showing up either in the database, no matter my search combinations....

Henry, can you assist or do I need to submit a ticket too?

I can't find myself neither in the Translator's database.


I did a "Search by name".
Result:

"No members with that name found.
(Members who have chosen to keep their names private are not shown.)"

Sorry, it seems that we have a bug in the profiles.

For reasons that we don't know yet, the Account Type in many profiles is not defined, that's why you don't appear in the directory.

Please, until we fix it, go to your profile, Settings-> Account Type and enter it.

After you do it, you will appear in the directory.

We are sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you.

Please write a support ticket if you need further assistance with this issue.

I's ok now.
Just an idea: maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have made changes in my profile, updating it according to the new profile settings.
Right after, I noticed the problem.
At least I hope this was the cause, because otherwise... I couldn't say since when my name was not listed in the date base.

Thanks, Monica, that is what it was. Colin has fixed that bug now. He will also email others who were affected.
