How do I make a note to someone's question in the Kudoz List?

You need 20 Kudoz points for this function May 12, 2007

Hi Claudia,

This function is used via a button (it reads "Ask the asker") right under the question window. However, you need to have at least 20 Kudoz points in order to use it. This is why you cannot see that button, yet.

Hi Claudia,

Once you have 20 or more KudoZ points, an additional box will appear next to "Answer" and "Track".

It's right below the question and is intended to seek clarification of the question.

The "Ask the Asker" box makes it possible to ask for additional information concerning a question or its context.

Some people use it incorrectly to offer translations because they're afraid to stick their necks out.

I didn't know this rule of the 20 points. What's the purpose?

Theorically, 20 kudoz are 5 4-points answers, which seem to be a low level of Kudoz to be able to ask a user. Why 20 Kudoz? Why not 0 Kudoz? or 100 Kudoz?

Hi Claudia,

If you still need to ask the asker, you can contact him/her through his/her profile. This would be in form of an e-mail, and not everyone would benefit from the clarification.
