I can't read the Russian posts here. I don't think I have the right font installed. What's the name of the font you use and can use suggest the website where I can dowload it from?
Thank you,
Irina

Irina, it's not the problem of fonts Jan 16, 2004

It's the problem of encoding.

Please (if you use IE) go to View > Encoding and choose Cyrillic (Windows).

If you are running Windows NT, 2000 or XP, you do not need to install anything, certainly not Russian fonts. To read Russian posts, in your browser, go to View -> Encoding and select one of Cyrillic encodings listed. The page should reload in Cyrillic. If the letters are Russian but the text doesn't make any sense, select a different Cyrillic encoding.

In Windows 95 you will need to first go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and install Multilingual support.

I forgot how Windows 98 works. It's either the same as 95 or the same as 2000.

Russian Fonts/Encoding for Macintosh (OS X Panther) Jan 19, 2004

Help! On this and several other sites, I can read SOME Russian text, but not all. For example, when I check out the KUDOS questions, the Russian text is always gibberish. Also, if I try to enter an answer in Russian (even with Russian selected and the Russian flag displayed in the top toolbar), it types gibberish. This, despite the fact that I have VIEW-CHARACTER SET-Cyrillic (Windows), -Cyrillic (Mac), -Cyrillic (ISO 8859-5), or -Cyrillic (KOI8-R) selected. None of these problems on my PC, just on the Mac. Any suggestions? Thanks!
