Yesterday, I made several posts that were not appropriate for me, a moderator, to make. In addition to having a public argument with a member, which I should have resisted, I made reference to people and issues not related to translation. In other words, I strayed from the limited scope that I have pledged to uphold as a moderator. I apologize for that.

To prevent similar situations from arising in the future, I am recommending to Henry and the moderators that the off-topic exception for holiday greetings be removed. Also, to prevent any perception of bias, I have decided to refrain from participating in moderator discussions related to the Russian forum. I leave the decisions of the Russian forum in the hands of Natalie, Jarema and the other Russian-speaking moderators.
