Compatibility between antivirus

Is it advisable to install in the same PC AVG 7.5.432 and Nod 32 for Windows 95/98 - Base - Version 2.70.26? Do they neutralize each other? If I can only have one, which one do you recommend me to install? Ines

They may damage heavily your system.

The programmes you mention have both a good reputation, so any advice is difficult.

It has no sense to use two antivirus. It's like if you to try to ride two bikes/motorclicles/cars together.
Instead of this please use one anti-virus (AVG is a good idea, and free), an anti-spyware tool (SpyBot Search & Destroy), a firewall (the one that it's in Windows XP or ZoneAlarm). A cleaning tool as CCleaner is also a very good idea.

which has both functions (you have just to check the box that you want Extended Antivirus databases used). Zone Alarm also is indispensible.

But indeed avoid using 2 Antiviruses on the same computer- they will detect each other as virus and you may well end up having to start from Format:C (been there, done that)
