Decision based on information Oct 18, 2009

Hello Birgit,

You have the power to make the Sunday brighter for the other 9 translators by sending them an e-mail with this link.
Then they will decide what is good or bad for them.

Best regards,
tagore

Good idea Oct 19, 2009

Good idea Tagore.
Everybody that have recieved an e-mail from these persons should warn their fellow translators.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one who can see who they are sent to

Systran/padena translation Oct 24, 2009

Hi all,

I got an email from a Padena Translations with the same phone number and fax listed on all of your scam messages....It is from a Steve Park and personally addressed to me an a few other emails that I can see.

I assume this is a scam too...I am really not sure. My google search led me to this page.
Thanks though
Jenell

I also had the same email (with English to French as topic), as I answered, I had a response proposing to buy Systran.

Thank you for your comments, it's good to see people concerned about these practices.

Another victim! Nov 4, 2009

Yeah I got the "Padena" email this morning...and I deleted it instantly! Just by reading the email, how they approach a professional translator, is not professional at all! There you go! Ah well...

Have a nice day everyone!

Scam Nov 5, 2009

I've just received their email too and forwarded this thread to the rest of the translators included in it so they don't fall in the scam.
Stay safe,

Can't believe this guy is still trying Nov 19, 2009

Dear all,

I just got the Steve Park/Padena/Systran scam email, Spanish to English this time, and landed on this forum after a quick search on Google. Thank you all for reporting!! I warned the other translators that were also sent the email and hopefully they will report it too.

Seriously, I can't believe this guy's been trying the same scam for over a year now...

Regards from not-so-sunny-today Barcelona!
