Hello there, I have also suffered from this person. I have never been mislead by any other clients. This is the first time. Probably I have to accept that I will not get paid.
Hello there, I was also scammed by this person. He owes me 90 EUR. It's not so much but it's still a loss. Hope to resolve this problem in some way. | | | reply from translatorscafe | Jul 3, 2014 |
Dear Stanka, Thank you for your message. We will provide this information if there is a court order. Thank you for understanding. Best regards, Victoria TranslatorsCafe.com Support Team

Maybe VAT No. could track this person? | Jul 9, 2014 |
http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud As far as I know, people are afraid of tax authorities. In this case, avoiding tax is a kind of crime in UK. Some Tax Authority?
[Edited at 2014-07-09 16:56 GMT] If he managed to register TA with VAT No., data must be in some Business Register.

Edited to add: It is highly likely that this scammer is not even in the UK -- there is no record on the UK Companies House database of a company with the name he used. It is more than likely that the scammer used a fake name and address.

Why don't you name a translator among the scammed ones, to collect all the data, including the subject of the translation (in this case, forget about confidentiality), who is/are the end client etc. What if it is somebody from the end-client ? You should collect all the data and it would be easier to solve the puzzle. Complaining individually does not work in these cases. goog luck, lee
