seems she scammed me as well for more than $2000.- Jan 26

I was stupid, perhaps nobody should work with the legitimate agency if it enables the free use of its name and does nothing to find the scammer. Besides, the law office is cooperating with the scammer. I will contact the commercial attache in Tel Aviv if anyone could let me have the name of the law firm that is dealing with the trial (allegedly, if it is a trial, with respect of fraud, in Israel).

This is the address she uses:
Diana Segura
Project Manager
Globallingo for Language Services
LSE, Houghton Street, London, WC2A 2AE, UK.
Phone:+442032906591

Is there anyone in London area who can phone them and see if it exists?\

Everything about Globallingo is fake Jan 26

1. "Diana Segura" is just a name created by the scammers behind "Globallingo".

2. The address was copied from the website of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Scammers even retained "LSE": http://www.lse.ac.uk/contact/Home.aspx

3. Phone +44 20 3290 6591 shows correct length for a UK land line phone number,
but it's either non-existent or not belonging to the scammers. They always expect
being contacted by email.

Thank you for this post, I'm almost a victim Mar 9

This morning I was contacted by this person Diana, and I almost fell for the scam thinking it was the actual Global Lingo. I don't know what stroke me, but before I started the translation I decided to check everything again and then I found the link of this post on the actual Global Lingo's profile in the Blue Board.
Then I asked this woman for and advance payment and she refused and tried to convince me that I was going to receive the payment three hours after delivery.
I insisted that I needed to get the money before I started working on the translations and I haven't heard from her again.

I think it would be a great idea if Proz sent a message to all members warning about known scammers.

Anyway, thank you for posting this and saving me a really bad time.

Greetings from Buenos Aires.

Laura

I was scammed by this woman for nearly $2000.- Mar 21

I was scammed by this woman for nearly $2000.-
I have about 400+ pages of the litigation.
I contacted Israel Police`s Ofer Alfandari of the Fraud Division and asked him to give me the name of the recipient parties (because Alfandari was acting for one of the parties and searching for evidence in banks and other places) but he simply ignored me.
I wonder whether all of us could join together and upload a site where all the documents we were not paid for and are therefore ours be uploaded on the internet for everyone to see. Together with the story and name.
In my opinion, in my case at least, the lawyer or party/parties involved should know that the entire case of their clients whether plaintiffs or defendants would be there for everyone to see.
My email is: liorabernstein@gmail.com.

regards
Liora

Hello liora,

I just wanted to mention that, if such a group of people gets together and decides to share information, I can create a private forum for you to use as a centralized place to share information.

If you are interested in the creation of a private forum, please let me know. The only requirement would be that at least one member of the group is a site member, since the creation of private forums is a member-only privilege. You can read more about private forums here: http://www.proz.com/faq/3103#3103

Best regards,
Alejandro

I received (enclosed) enquiry from Global Lingo re 50-60-K words. Tempring, right?- just read Apr 20

Dear Liora,

I hope you are well.

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of Global Lingo as we have a great opportunity for the following months. One of our key-clients will assign approx. 50-60k words to be translated in the second half of 2017. This word count has been confirmed up to now and it’s very likely that they will increase as more projects get approved.

The specialism is business, mainly code of conduct, data security, ethics, financial regulations. Could you please let us know if you are comfortable with the requested area of expertise and could you please provide some details about your experience?

Also, in order to be considered for these projects could you please:

1. provide a copy of your up-to-date CV
2. confirm if you work with SDL Trados or compatible tools (MemoQ, Wordfast PRO, Memosource etc)

We are looking at creating a dedicated team of 5 resources per language combination which will work on this client account, but we really need competitive and preferential prices so that we could assign this work.

Therefore, should you be interested in this large project, could you please get back to me with your BEST RATES for the following services:

- Translation per source word
- Proofreading per source word
- LSO (checking the final version of a document once it's been laid out and finalised by Desktop Publishing) per hour
- Glossary creation per hour
- Minimum charge

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Georgiana Marusteri

Are you really sure, Liora, you got this from the scammer and not from the real Global Lingo?
From the previous posts I understood that the domain with "-" belongs to the real agency, whereas "globallingo" are the scammers....?
