I have SDL Trados 2007 Freelance. From one use to the next, suddenly when I click on the Trados menu, wanting to Fix Document, for example, there is no drop-down. I get a faint blue line across the open document, presumably where the bottom of the menu would be, but that is all. I can't imagine what I have done to cause this, much less how to correct it.

Any suggestions would be most welcome, thanks.

Have you tried to close it and open again? Apr 5, 2008

Right-clicking the mouse to deactivate the menu and then right-clicking the mouse to reactivate it again.

Maybe you've already tried this, but in case you haven't, you have nothing to loose.

If it still doesn't work, try to close Word or the program you are using or even restart the PC. In most cases where I have come across some mistakes while using Trados restarting the PC solved my problems.

If nothing else works, uninstall Trados and install it again, to avoid wasting too much time while looking for an answer.

Best of luck!

Elisabete

This might work Apr 5, 2008

On the MSWord menu:
TOOLS > Macro > Macros > Trados*.dot > Add > Run

Let us know if it worked.

one worked, one didn't! Apr 5, 2008

Thank you both very much for taking the time to reply. I tried Elisabete's first, and it didn't have any effect, and then I tried Tadzio's and it did! Thrilled to bits, thanks so much.

Hope you both have a great weekend.
