Hello,

I have Word documents which contains custom formatting tags (they are not S-Tag documents or html etc). Is it possible to somehow run verification for these non-standard tags as well?

Thank you,

Lo

Steps Apr 9, 2008

1. Add one paragraph at the beginning of each file and mark it with tw4winExternal style.
2. Create empty TM with the appropriate language settings.
3. Go to Options, Translation Memory Options, Tools, make sure the checkbox TRADOSTag XML workflow for Workbech RTF files is selected.
4. Translate with empty TM (make sure both update options are selected as Don't). This will create TTX files out of RTF files.
5. Open TTX files in TagEditor and use generic tag verifier.

Thank you very much for your help!

I just have one doubt: point 4 says "Translate with empty TM (make sure both update options are selected as Don't). This will create TTX files out of RTF files."

The files I should verify are bilingual (I forgot to mention that), would this make things complicated?

I forgot to add
1a. Save your Word files as RTF files.

Point 4 will create proper TTX files, opening bilingual RTF file in TagEditor is not the best way to convert it into TTX.
