Error 31053 when trying to open a translation memory

I have just bought Trados and am working through the tutorial. I created a translation memory, but when I clicked on "Create", an error message came up saying, "Translator's Workbench has stopped working. A problem caused the programme to stop working". The TM appears to be saved, but if I try to open it, I get the error code 31053: Resource not found in ...
Can anyone help please!?

Use the Reorganise method to repair the translation memory, or export it into a text file that you reimport into a new translation memory.
