Help - weird Trados error message "cannot find the path specified"

Hi there

I am totally at a loss with this message. I have Trados 7, my TMs are stored on an external drive, so I thought this might be the problem, but I opened the TM from the drive, checked that all 5 Trados files are there, but each time I open a document it says "the system cannot find the path specified". So I tried creating a new TM, saved to my desktop, and the same thing happens!! Sometimes I can get the first couple of sentences done before the message appears, and I opened

Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated

Hi there,

If i were you i'd check the following:

1. Do u use "Reference TM"? Please go to Options->Translation Memory Options->Corcondance and verify the box "reference (read-only) translation memory". maybe you're using a TM which does not exist there.

2. Have you specified the path of the "Log file"? Please go to "Tools->Analyse", press the Log File button and make sure the path is specified, or specify a new path of this file.
