Hi everyone,

I have just executed the full installer to upgrade from SDLTrados71_Freelance_7.1.0.719 to SDLTrados2007_FL_SP2.

My operating system is Windows XP and I have used the full installer SDLTrados2007_FL_SP2_835.exe to execute the upgrade.

I have made a couple of attempts to run the programs, install and uninstall unsuccessfully:

At the first attempt, I just installed the software for my user account (my PC has two user accounts) and I have administrator rights. At that point, I could run Trados on the Word environment without any issues. However, I couldn’t use it in combination with the Tag Editor environment. The following message would appear: Filter defintions file C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\SDL International\Filters\PluginFileFilterDefinitions.xml could not be located

Then I uninstalled the programs and installed them again, but this time for both user accounts. After the second installation, everything appeared to run properly. However, after a couple of minutes, every time I tried to open a TM or Tag Editor, the applications would shut down automatically. I get the usual error message that a problem has been determined, that the application has to be shutdown and if I would like to report the problem to Microsoft.

I have registered the software, but unlike the first attempt, I cannot enter the license code at the License manager applications, because it shuts down too!

Has anyone experienced this problem already? As usual, thousand thanks for your help.

Kind regards,
