Can somebody please explain shortly how to do it.

I "Save target as" and when I try to clean the file I receive an error message saying:

"-2147221164; Class not registered" and it does not clean the file.

Very much appreciated if somebody shortly can tell me how to do it.

Can you save as target? May 11, 2008

Hi "PMP",
XML files are customised by their very nature - it's therefore close to impossible to run a 'remote diagnosis'. Did you get a DTD file, XML schema, or .ini file with the XML file?

I "Save target as" and when I try to clean the file

If you successfully 'save as target', why do you need to run a clean-up?

Best regards,
Ralf

Hi Ralf. May 11, 2008

Thank you for your prompt response. I am not used to work in TagEditor.

I received xml-files with an ini-file.

So when I "Save target as" it becomes a "clean file"?

Another "problem" is that when I save target as, the xml-file is 0 kb...

Good coverage of topic in TRADOS manual May 12, 2008

In January I got a contract for a long term job for which I need TagEditor. Not having worked much with that application I read everything about it I could get my hands on. The TRADOS manual covers the TagEditor function in detail; there is even a flowchart showing the process. I am yet to have a single problem.

I'd like to mention that I did the same with the Multiterm application. I read everything I could find, including tutorials some kind souls have uploaded to the Web. I was able to create a term base that is over 30 000 entries.

All I wish to emphasize is the need and convenience of reading the documentation available, for TRADOS or any other application one ventures into.
