Hello!

I would like to use different TM for the same document.
How should I do?
If I import a TM, and then import another one, the second one replace the first one, or the two combine in one?

Thank you

In Trados [TagEditor] TM, you can select how to import May 17, 2008

In Trados [TagEditor] TM, you can select how to import.
You may append or replace the previous segment.
In Workbench, go to File > Import > Select Option/Import by appending or Replacing existing segments> Click OK.
You got TMs you wanted!

Best regards,
Soonthon L.

import different TM (Tag Editor 7)" May 17, 2008

Hello Soonthon,
thank you for your answer
Unfortunately, I don´t have such options you tell me.
In TWB, when I go to file-import, the only options possible are:

- Import mode: small import-large import
- Existing translation units: leave unchanged - keep most recent - keep oldest - merge - overwrite
- New fields: ignore - add to setup.

I am using Tag Editor 7

Thank you anyway.

Hello!

My question is:
How do you import all the TM you have as if it was one? (Tag Editor 7)

Thank you

Import mode May 18, 2008

Hi Marion,

When you click on Import, apart from Import mode (which has the options you describe) there are two other fields - Existing translation units and New fields, with several options to tick each.
If you go to Workbench > Help and in the index tab write Import mode, you´ll surely get an explanation of each of the options and, then, you´ll be able to choose the ones that fit your needs.

By selecting these options you´ll be able to import all your existing TMs into a single one, provided the language pairs are the same.

Regards,
Marina
