Questions about GXT 6.4 and Trados 8

I need to install GXT for a project. One of the requirements is to install TRADOS 6.5 and Multiterm 6.2 first; that's what I've done. I'm still gonna be using Trados 8 to translate the files. My question is: should I keep TRADOS 6.5 + Multiterm installed and was it necessary to install Trados 6.5 prior to install LM Studio?
