Any difference using TagEditor or Sdlx Edit for .itd-files?

Hi,
I have received a job consisting of Trados SDLx-files (itd). The client wants me to work in SDL Edit. I would prefer working in TagEditor since it is what I am used to and I find it fast. And since I have the latest version of Trados Freelance 2007 it is possible to oped itd-files directly in TagEditor without converting them. But - can it make any difference for the cllient if i use TagEditor rather than SDL edit? Could there be some issues? The reason given for using SDL edit over TagEditor was "I would prefer if we use SDLx so we get a proper segmentation for the TM."

Thanks!

It should work.
Generally, the ITD-TTX-ITD workflow behaves better than TTX-ITD-TTX.

As the segmentation is already done in the ITD file, no problem, I think.

Cheers

No issues found Jun 8, 2008

Hi Markus,
I do this quite regularly and have encountered no issues so far. As long as you keep all tags, everything should be fine.

Thanks for your comments, sounds pretty risk free, I'll have a go at it then.

Yeah, but please don't curse us if you have any problems. Curse SDL Intl.
