While I am translating a file with Tag Editor, this message appears.
It doesn't stops me from using normal functions of Tag Editor nor stops the translation.
Is there something I have forgotten to enable?

thank you

No
Some SDL programmers have forgotten how they called their own filter,
BTW.
It is not very surprising, they are putting some mess in their code as usual.

Open your ttx file in a honest text editor (kinda Notepad++ or UltraEdit)
Find the "InDesign" or "Indesign" and replace "InDesign" by "Indesign" or vice versa.
It should work, I hope.

Cheers
GG

Is there something else I can try?
Which can be the consequences on the final translation?
Hope nothing because I will have to contact the client....

Thanks again

Trados Version Issue Jun 6, 2008

Hi, this filter is only present in Trados 7.1 and higher. Maybe you are using an older Trados version?

If this is not the case, you'll find an article in the SDL Knowledge Base describing various version issues:

"You get a "Filter Definition not found" error when opening an InDesign Interchange TTX file (INX.TTX) in TagEditor"

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Gabi

Check if you have this definition Jul 16, 2008

In the default system folder for "All users" under Windows XP
Path: c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\SDL International\Filters

If you have this path, there should be the filter defintion mentioned. If the definition or path is not there, you need to create the path and implement the filter definition. This can be done either by reinstalling Trados or posting your email here (better: contacting me directly) so I can send the defintion to you.

the agency send me the file inx, but i think with trados 7.0 i cannot open it...

(please excuse me for my bad english.. help in german is welcome maren@tetralingo.net)

Need help on this issue Nov 17, 2008

Hello Jerzy,
I've been having the same problems as Maren and wonder if you could send me the instructions in German an the definition, too (cmannshardt@googlemail.com). I don't have the Indesign-filter for Trados, and I don't have Indesign at all installed in my computer. Will it work?
Thank you a lot!

Hi Stanislav,

I have the same problem "Indesign Filter 1.0.0.0 not found" when using Trados 7.5.

Could you prvide an active link to download this indesign filter, since the one you mentioned seems not be available?

Or, is there anyone who can help me by providing this filter definition.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Michael
