Can´t import memory

Hi!, I have bought a new PC and installed Trados. I´ve just aligned two files with WinAlign but I can´t import the translation memory because the word "Import" appears in grey (i.e. I´m not authorized to import it), Set up, Export and Reorganize also appear in grey colour. Does anyone know what can I do to import my newly created TM?, how can I make those functions available?

Before you are able to import anything, you should create a new translation memory or, open an old one.

Open it exclusively Jul 15, 2008

Hi Jimena,

You didn't specify your TRADOS version, but you might try the following:
In the Workbench, go to 'File' - 'Open', then find a check box 'Exclusive'. Check it and try to open your TM again. Now, the 'Import' should be active.

I´ve tried Clarisa´s suggestion first and it worked. I had to create a new TM.
