I used to make corrections on my .bak files and then clean them up to keep my TM up to date. For some time now, the .bak files generated by my Trados 7 memory have a strange format. When I clean them up, the resulting file is empty and has only some strange characters in it, and the TM is not updated.
Does any of you have any idea why this happens?

Thanks!

Regards,

Lucía

Save as doc Jul 22, 2008

Hi Lucía,

I don´t know whether it´ll work, but, have you tried to save the .bak file as doc first, and then clean it?

I´ve never cleaned a bak file before, I save the as doc first.

Hope this helps
Marina

Thanks, Marina! It worked, of course. But I still wonder why this strange thing is happening to my .baks now although it didn't use to in the past.
Problem solved, anyway.

Regards,

Lucía
