Hello everyone,

I am stuck in a complicated subject: I am trying to import a word doc into Tageditor,
however the error message pops up again and again, complaining about the Word doc having the
"Track Changes" option activated.

So I go back to word, accept all the changes, try and deactivate the "Track changes" option
and come back to Tageditor.... Still the same pop up error message.

Is there a way to walkaround this issue?

Has any of you encountered this problem so far?

Thanks in advance!

Hola

I am intrigued by the "try and deactivate". Have you got MCA in bold or in grey at the bottom on your page?

If it is in bold and you double click it on it, it gets deactivated. Before you do so, select the whole document and accept all changes.

Saludos

Marta

Hola compañera! Aug 26, 2008

MCA is in fact deactivated (it doesn´t appear anymore, is shaded grey).

Inspite of having deactivated the track changes function,
Tageditor rejects import - while showing the wellknown message "you have not accepted/rejected changes".

Honestly, I don´t know what to do,

cheers!

Maria

Filter settings Aug 26, 2008

Hi!

I've had the same problem and found a solution in the fora. In your Trados start menu, you'll find a folder "filters". Run "Filter settings". Under "Word" you'll find an option "non accepted or rejected changes". That did the trick for me.

Some more threads covering this problem:

It works (lol) Aug 26, 2008

Hello Erik,

it DID work, I just had to check the option "non accepted or rejected changes" after executing the Filters EXE and I could import the word doc in a second!!!

I can´t believe it,

thanks again!

Maria
