Tag Editor - Tags missing from memory

I don't know if there is a way around this.

Say for instance I am translating a sentence which I have already saved to the Trados memory with no tags
So in Tag Editor - I have the same source - but let's say with a long series of tags - and Trados gives me my old translation without.
The translation is correct - but no tags
Is there a way to insert the tags ??
At present I usually end up restoring the source - and re-entering the translation.
Any tips/hints most welcome

Placeables Sep 9, 2008

The tags are "placeables". You can insert tags one by one (in groups really) using "Get ... placeable" menu commands. Well, not the commands, but keyboard shortcuts instead.

Copy/paste if you have long strings of tags... Sep 10, 2008

...or the "Place placeable" toolbar buttons if you have a few, separate tags.

If you have many tags and just a few words, you might want to do Copy Source and retype the translation between the tags, as it will take less time than pasting or placing the tags.
