Hi,

Does anybody know how to export a termbase into Word with the index fields as well as the language, so that when it is in the dictionary format it shows the Source, Target and a Comments field - such as context, grammar etc. as it is displayed in Multi-Term?

Also is it possible to export more than two languages (more than one target language) into the Word dictionary format. Ie. So that it reads SOURCE, TARGET, TARGET TARGET etc.

Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Thank you.

export settings

In this step, you specify an export file (to which your entries will be exported), the sort order and a filter, if required.

Enter the path and file name of your export file in the Export file box, or click Save As to locate or create a file. This displays the Save As dialog box. From the Save as type drop-down list, choose the type of file you want to export to - TXT, XML or RTF. Click Save.

If you choose to save your export file as an RTF or a TXT file, the Complete export and Partial export options on the next page of the wizard, the Type of Export page, are not available. If you prefer either of these options, choose to save your export file as an XML file.

To make a complete backup of the termbase, ensure that the Sort termbase content by entry number option is selected. Otherwise, clear this option and select an index field to sort on from the Sort termbase content by index field drop-down list. This list contains the index fields (languages) in your termbase, as well as Source and Target.

If you want to apply a filter before exporting entries, select the Apply filter option and select a filter from the list of filters defined for this termbase.

Click Next to go to the next step of the wizard.

NOTE: To apply a filter you must define it before starting the Export Wizard.

PS - I would assume this is it, is it not?
