I generated a MultiTerm 7 termbase from a simple 2 column (source/target) Excell spreadsheet following these instructions:

http://trados-training.doku-trans.de/Multiterm.pdf

Everything worked fine until I try to attach my new termbase to Workbench. I browse to the the termbase, click the + sign and then click OK and then OK and the following error comes

Selected Term Information Provider returned the following error [-2147467261]: [null] .

Any idea on how to fix this?

Forum search Oct 29, 2008

Hi David, I think this issue was discussed several times in this forum. You might search it for your error number.

One mere suggestion: make sure your termbase name only consists of letter characters, not special ones like *, = etc.

terminology recognition option doen't work Dec 22, 2010

I think the trouble I encountered was same as that of David's.

While exercising, I want to add new entries via toolbars in "word" directly. So I chose "options" in "workbench",
2.----"terminology recognition option"
3.----"browse" and "+" the termbase;
but just at this point, error happened when I clicked "OK".

Errror information jumped out. It reads "The selected term information provider returned the following error:
(-214746726):(null)"

And so, I cannot do that.

I tried to find some answers here, but failed to find the very suitable ones.
How can I address it then????
Please help. Thanks in advance!
