I bought a new comp and it came with Windows XP professional.
Now it doesn't want to recognize my licence (soft key). Says cannot read the value. It works on my laptop
Any ideas?
Thank you
Amra

One license per computer Dec 1, 2008

When you installed SDL Trados on your laptop, one license is already in use.
You cannot use the same license for your desktop, so you need to enter the other code from your License section of your account on sdl.com

If you need it immediately Dec 1, 2008

you can return the license from your laptop and activate it on your PC.
But, AFAIK, you should be entitled to install SDL Trados 2007 both on your laptop and desktop at the same time (provided you will not use them at the same time), so I would check your account on sdl.com for a second activation code (to be used on your desktop), which certainly should be there.
If you don't have the code, go to http://talisma.sdl.com anc chose the Solution Finder, which will guide you and if necessary contact with SDL support.
