I have always used SDLX Trado Freelance 2006 with Windows XP without any problems.

I have just bought a new laptop with Windows Vista and it seems not to recognize my license file

because the software is in trial version and it will expire ath the end of the month.

I receive the message "Cannot update the system registry. Try with REGEDIT".

Has anyone had the same problem? How to solve it?

Thank you

Compatibility? Jan 11, 2009

Can you check compatibility of "SDLX Trado Freelance 2006" [also MS Word 2003 etc.] with "Windows Vista"?
I understand you can read it in SDL Trados website.

Not compatible Jan 12, 2009

Hi Dana,
I'm sorry, but Trados 2006 (7.56 up to 8.0) is not compatible with Vista. It should recognize your licence file though.
Anyway, I strongly suggest that you upgrade to Trados 2007 (version 8.xx) which is (claimed) fully compatible to run under Vista 32.
