Can't analyse a SDLX file, license problem

Hi,

I have a .itd file I need to analyse.
In SDLX switchboard I chose the Analyse component, select the files and all the options.
When I run the Analyze I have the error Analysis Process Interrupted.
When I check the log file I see that the problem is:
## SDLX is currently running in demo mode therefore this process will not run successfully. ##

But I have a legit and activated licence for SDLX.

I think the problem is that I first installed a trial version of SDLX, then removed it when I bought SDL Trados 2007 Freelance, then installed SDL Trados 2007 (with SDLX included).
When I look in SDL License Manager and I click View Activated Licences I can see that the Trial license, although it expired a long time ago, is still there, alongside the license I bought.
I cannot return the Trial license (when I select it, the Return License button is greyed out).

Any idea what I can do?
Thxs

I had the same problem and the answer is easy : you need to buy a Professional licence for SDL Trados if you want to be able to use all the features of SDLX.

With a normal freelance version, you can use all the Trados features and only a limited number of SDLX features.

Is there another way to analyze my file then? Jan 12, 2009

If I can't run the Analyze component without upgrading my license (something I don't plan on doing) do you know of another way to know how many words need to be translated in the .itd file?

Statistics Jan 12, 2009

Simply open the file and go to View - Statistics
You will get a detailled view with fuzzy, 100% and new words (if you have a TM, apply it on the file before to do so).

regards,
Sylvain

Thanks Jan 12, 2009

Thanks, that's what I needed although I get less details than with Analyse.
One more question, in Statistics, do you know if locked segments are counted or ignored?

Yes Jan 12, 2009

They are counted in, as I found out during a job a few weeks ago.

Analyze in Trados Jan 12, 2009

You can convert your ITD files to TTX and analyze them in Trados.
If you have a TM, you can import it into Trados Workbench via TMX.
