Error message 0x8000FFFF when installing SDLX

Helo
I wonder if you can help. I am using SDL freelance 2007 on my computer on XP, and I now want to install it on my laptop, which works with Vista. I have installed SDL components with no issues, but when trying to install SDLX, I get a message 0x8000FFFF catastrophic failure and everything stops. I have searched the Knowledge centre, but found no reply.

Can you help me?
