This is a bit complex, but may be, this topic could help the one or other user:

Background:
TMs can be configured with "text fields", that can hold your information like job name or whatever, so that you can see in the matches/fuzzies or concordance display immediately, where the text appeared before (as an example for using the feature).
Such text fields allow for either one value or "multiple values" (you must tick a box for the latter). "Multiple" means, that when you use a 100% matching TU next time, and the "field" is updated with a new value, the new value will not replace the old one in the TU, but will be added to the old one, separated with a comma.
For a new task, using your TM, you can bring up the "Project settings" and under "Language Pairs" > "TM and automated translation" > "update" change or enter another value for the "text field".

Findings:
Single-value and multiple-value configurations seem to be incompatible in a way that:

(1) If you assign 2 or more TMs to your task (or project), where one is set for single-value and another is set for multiple-value, then Studio will not let you change the value of the text field - the field is simply not displayed at all under "update".

(2) I had exported (date filtered) entries from a very large TM in order to re-import the TUs into a new (blank) TM. However, Studio imported only 50% of the 2000 TUs, reporting an error for the rest. The reason was obviously the "text field", which was not configured accordingly. After allowing multiple entries, the import worked for all 2000 TUs.

Note: You can change the single/multiple setting at any time you work with the TM. So the TM can hold TUs with multiple AND TUs with single value settings. The setting is memorized for each TU:
